This work arises from a theoretical scheme of two studies completed, one of which is a Master's degree and
another for Doctorate, both in the area of Special Education, within the theme of High Competences/
Gifted (AH/SD). In the first, the focus was to investigate the representations of a young man identified with
AH/SD on resilient identity, in the second investigation the focus was on the study and validation of
Instrument aimed at the Identification of HA/SD in older adults. Therefore, the main objective in this

with the objective of later sharing theoretical productions that have as their object the conceptualization of AH/SD as well as problematizations related to adolescence and old age, in older people. Therefore it is believed that the studies dialogue with each other and the need for more research, especially comparative, is defended among subjects with HA/DS throughout their life stages.
