Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate what are the challenges to foster creativity in higher education, according to university  professors. Seventeen professors from two Brazilian higher education institutions participated in the study.The qualitative methodology was used and the instrument consisted of a semi-structured interview, with results presented to the professors after one year.Content analysis technique was used to analyze the responses from the interviews.The results obtained indicate the use of information and communication
technologies, the importance of creativity, the speed of updating, the potential of the network, and the student new profile as challenges to foster creativity in the classroom.
