Abstract

Educational quality is a difficult concept to assume. From the point of view of educational policies and practices, it is difficult not to take on the challenge of seeking quality. However, from the academic point of view it has been clearly stated that this quality is not a simple concept to define. Within the framework of educational policies that propose that education is a right, it is important to rethink the term quality. For this, it is essential to understand the historicity of the construction of the concept, from which theoretical frameworks in dispute it is addressed and how it is linked to educational practice. It is important to promote the necessary capacities for educational inclusion as a quality policy. Some lines of work are associated with the construction of institutions by promoting recognized leadership, providing the necessary resources, and promoting monitoring strategies. The state must generate pedagogical assistance policies, promote acceleration programs and special trajectories, as well as integrate multisectoral mechanisms.
