Abstract

During the long pandemic period, which we don't even know if it ended, we had to learn new ways of teaching and also learning. In-person presence became a luxury item, shared exclusively with family members or, sometimes, alone, with a pet. The school benches filled with dust and gave way to chairs at home. Whiteboards were reduced in size to that of computer screens which, in many cases, had to be shared with brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers or even extended family members. The quality of the connections was a fundamental element and also a generator of inequalities. In some countries it brought very significant delays in schooling due to the lack or deficiency of Internet connection. This inequality was also evident by the difference in schooling and availability of the children's caregivers, who sometimes ended up learning with their children what they could not do in their childhood and other times they were not even able to help them.
